Couchsurfing is a social database community for travellers with the idea to visit countries to meet local people for a more fullfilling experience. The community is also focused on sharing knowledge about locations from all over the world. The particpants database is based on the theory of the six degrees of seperations: "You are connected to any other person through the relationships of everyone you know and who they know. There's only a six degree of seperation in between.” The community visualy reflects the connections of its members.
